Summer Update #2

July 25,2013
Wow! Only like 3 weeks left of summer! In the past couple of months I met my best friend,Kenny. Kenny has made my summer a blast with silly jokes and the memory making. My 2013 summer has been the best summer yet. Even though, I haven't taken many trips, spending time with friends and family has made it the best.
I just want to thank Seanzay with an "a" with a huge thank you for being there for me this summer. You really helped me through a bunch!

Summer Update #1

June 30,2013
Gosh summer is nearly over! So far this summer I've gone to church camp with a bunch of my friends. Anna Hite,Kaylee Hartz,Rose Miller,Jahsonna Dixon,Brenna Sullivan, and many more. I have gotten closer to my sister this summer which has made such a happier person. While I was at camp, I made many different friends that are more positive and helpful with bringing me closer towards a positive place. I also met Russians literally Russians! They came from Moscow,Russia but in the summer they go to a church in Goshen,Indiana.
This summer has been a great experience for me. I have had some many new oppertunites, towards music and dancing, towards new friends and trips. I went to Relay4Life with my friends and family, I had  a blast! I stayed up all night! My sister's 12th birthday is coming up can't wait! Hope y'all are having an amazing summer!

Student Blogging Challenge
Challenge 10 – Evaluation

Survey of your blog
This is an audit of your blog since the beginning of March 2013.
  • How many posts did you write?
  • How many were school based, your own interests or set by the challenge?
  • How many comments did you receive from classmates, teachers or overseas students?
  • Which post received the most comments? Why do you think that happened?
  • Which post did you enjoy writing the most and why?
  • Did you change blog themes at all and why?
  • How many widgets do you have? Do you think this is too many or not enough?
  • How many overseas students do you have on your blogroll?

Write a post about your blog evaluation and audit.

Click on the CHALLENGE 10 - EVALUATION link at the top of this post.  The link will direct you to the Blogging Challenge 10 site, where the Blogging Challenge Survey is located.  Complete the survey and submit.
I wrote 12 published posts, but that's not including all of the posts on my different pages. There was one school based, and then many on my own interests, then there was 10 set by the challenge. I received 21 comments. Blogging Challenge 3 was the post that received the most comments. I think it happened because it was the most interesting post. I enjoyed writing blogging challenge 8. I enjoyed it because I got to tell about me without having to stand up in front of people. No, I didn't change blog themes because I love the one I have. I have 12 widgets. I think this is enough widgets for now. I have three overseas students on my blogroll.

Blogging Challenge-Challenge 9

Student Blogging Challenge
Game Week
GAME 1- allows you to connect globally.
This game is titled-  ‘Count Out Three’.
Here are the instructions:
  • click on a blog on the student list – count one
  • now click on a blog from their blogroll – count two
  • finally click on a blog from that blogroll – count three
1.  Leave a comment on an interesting post at this third blog.
2.  Do this activity at least three times
3.  Write your own post saying which blogs you visited and which posts you left a comment on.
-Why did you choose that post?
     - Remember to include a link back to the post you left a comment on so that student gets a pingback.

Blog One: http://pirate63.edublogs.org/2013/03/07/challenge-1-who-am-i/ I visited Mini Srarwriter's blog. I choose this post because I say some people I knew of and some that I didn't know of.
Blog Two: I visited Julia's blog for this challenge. I choose this post because I'm intrested in music as well. http://kidblog.org/1K2012-2/099cfceb-83b8-4f4d-9be9-815606b0135b/what-i-am-passionate-about/
Blog Three: http://jacob110gst.edublogs.org/ I visited Jacob's blog for this challenge. I choose this post because I thought it was intresting.
GAME 2-
We have many mentors helping you with your blogging.  Most of them are busy teachers with their own class blog or else they are students who have taken part in many prior challenges. I have asked some mentors to write a post highlighting what they consider interesting posts for students to read. Here are the instructions for this game:

  1. Choose at least two of these mentor posts to visit.
  2. Read their post and visit the links they include.
  3. Answer the question left on their post by leaving them a quality comment. This should show you have visited the posts they link to.
  4. Now write your own post including three posts you have found interesting while taking part in this March blog challenge. Could include posts you have written or ones you have read while visiting other students.
One interesting post I found while taking part of the March blog challenge is "Challenge 8". I found it interesting because we get to know about each other without even meeting the person. The second interesting post I found was one of the posts I wrote, "Your Beautiful!". And the third interesting post I found was another one I wrote, "'''Challenge One" we got to learn about different famous people.

Boston Bombing

My first reaction to the bombing in Boston was, all I could do was cry in shock. I'm one of those people that cry when they're in shock. I feel terrible and crushed for all of the victims. In Language Arts class, I was assigned to read a article about what I'm writing about now. How did you first react to the bombing in Boston? Would you run towards the explosion to help someone in need? Who you let the person/people stay with you to the are stable? Why do you say what you said?
***Make sure you tweet out you're answers!***

My 10 Favourites
May 9,2013
My first favourite thing is Choir. Is an organized group of singers, typically one that takes part in church services or performs regularly in public. My favourite part of choir is the performances. I love performing because it brings out the talented side of me. This is one of my favourite things.
My second favourite things is sleep. I like to sleep because I get to escape the world into a different world. Another reason is because my dreams are always so weird. Even if I have nightmares, I also count on my friend Theo to be awoken at 3 in the morning. This is why I like to sleep all the time.
My third favourite thing is music. I am in love with music because of the things it teaches you. Music has always been there for me,when no one else has. It's my favourite thing because, it's where I fit in. Music is where I can express myself freely without being judged.

My fourth favourite thing is soccer. I usually don't play sports but when it's soccer it's all or nothing. My favourite soccer player is,Séamus John James Given(Shay Given). His current number is one. Shay is my inspiration when it comes to soccer.
Shay Given

My fifth favourite thing is Ireland. Ireland is my home country so I'm very attached. Ireland is an island to the north-west of continental Europe. It is the third-largest island in Europe and the twentieth-largest island on Earth. To its east is the larger island of Great Britain, from which it is separated by the Irish Sea.

Ireland's Flag

My sixth favourite thing is the band Black Veil Brides. Black Veil Brides started in 2007.Black Veil Brides is an American rock band based in Hollywood, California. The group is composed of Andy Biersack, Ashley Purdy, Jake Pitts, Jinxx and Christian "CC" Coma. Andy is my inspiration in the music field. He has helped me through so much with their music.
My seventh favourite thing is the band Sleeping With Sirens. Sleeping with Sirens is an American post-hardcore band from Orlando, Florida currently residing in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The band was formed in 2009 by members of For All We Know, Broadway, and We Are Defiance. http://merchnow.com/catalogs/sleeping-with-sirens
My eighth favourite thing is the band Mayday Parade.Mayday Parade is an American rock band from Tallahassee, Florida. 'Their debut EP Tales Told by Dead Friends was released in 2006, and sold over 50,000 copies without any label support. The members are,Derek Sanders, Brooks Betts, Jake Bundrick, Jeremy Lenzo, Alex Garcia, Jason Lancaster.
My ninth favourite thing is my friends. My friends are almost always there for me. The keep me from falling into my old bad habits. Kirsten Nault is one of my friends. She has came to my extra curricular activites without me even asking her. And I return the favour.
My tenth favourite thing is living with depression. I only say this because I meet so many different people. And I have so many oppurtunites. Depression sometimes holds me back. But, I'm ready to take off the chains and live life to the fullest.

Blogging Challenge-Challenge 6

Student Blogging Challenge
 Digital Footprints

Activity 1: Do you have a different personality when you are online? Think about your avatar, your status updates, music you upload, your images and your blog. Would someone who knows you in real life recognize you online?  Write a post about your personality online. Why do you think some people exaggerate or change their identity when they are online?
No,I don't have a different personality online. Having to personalities is like being bi-polar but online. You should act the same way you act in person. Once you post something online you can't ever get that back. Yes, someone who knows me in real life could recognize me online.
My personality online is just like my personality in real life. I have a bubbly personality but I have a dark(depression) side too. I really only show my bubbly side because I love being happy, I want to live my life to the fullest.  I think people change or exaggerate their identity online because they want more attention or they are not who they say they are.
